successful business tours and gained sufficient knowledge and
experience in making full use of global market opportunities in
different fields. I had also set up an associate office in Moscow
and a manufacturing joint venture in Czech-Republic on behalf of
an Indian company and have in pipeline some export enquiries to be
executed.
During my early days of work experience I helped in designing
the MBT-80 battle tank in Dighi Pune on behalf of Allied Fibers.
The prime organizations for which I have worked are listed
hereunder:
1984 TO 1988 : Worked as Marketing Officer co-ordination with
INDIAN RAYON AND INDUSTRIES . LTD. a Birla group company with an
approximate turnover of Rs.200 crorers at that time.
During this tenure my job responsibilities were: (1)

sales report of the Regional Marketing officers and
distributors.(3) Data preparing for the purpose of demand
forecasting. (4) Preparing production programmee based on annual
sales.(5) Checking the distributors activities and guiding them in
their marketing problems.(6) Guiding the sales officers and
helping them to solve the marketing problems being faced by them
in their territories.(7)Development of new markets.(8)Preparing
tenders.(9)Total administration of the office in the absence of
Vice President Marketing.(10)Independent correspondence and
formulation of action plan for the marketing team.(11)Negotiations
with foreign buyers.
During this period the company expressed its faith in me by
giving me joint powers for issuing bank guarantees on behalf of
the company. This was a special case where this authority was
given to a marketing officer in addition to the authority to
prepare tenders and attend meetings on behalf of the President of
the company and was specially representing him in bureau of Indian
standards on panel of fire hoses(PCDC 13:3:1). This panel
prescribes the ISI specifications for fire hoses.
1989 TO 1990 : Worked as Manager Marketing with International
Amusements Ltd. This company was manufacturing joy rides and
setting up of amusement parks on turnkey basis.
My job responsibilities in this organization were (1)Project
Marketing.(2)Making project report for the new parks.(3)Increasing
the park revenue with the existing resources.(4)Developing new
ideas.(5)Developing new products for the markrting team to create
a brand name.
During this period I was instrumental in setting up of
amusement parks in different parts of the country. I also
developed a market for exporting of joy rides and designed the
concept of package tickets for the parks which increased the
revenue of the parks instantly.
1990 TO 1991 : Traveled to different countries in East Europe
and Europe on export assignments and was responsible for opening
up an associate office in Russia and a joint venture in
Czechoslovakia.
1991 TO 1992 : Worked as General Manager Business Development
& Exports with All Seasons Foods Limited but had to
discontinue my services as the company ceased its operations.
